A closer look at fireflies

Firefly Sanctuary (荧光秘境) invites visitors into the world of fireflies through an immersive science exhibition. AI-assisted panoramic animation brings their habitats into view, pairing an imaginative visual experience with an introduction to firefly ecology.

Exploring a digital habitat

The virtual space connects a digital exhibition, an interactive learning area, and a panoramic theater. Modeled specimens and a planted central display invite close observation, while lighting and particle effects recreate the glow of fireflies.

An encounter in VR

Visitors explore the exhibition with a headset and handheld controllers. Gentle vibration near the fireflies adds tactile feedback to the encounter. The project combines 3D modeling and Unreal Engine with AI-assisted animation, with headset testing used to refine interaction and visual comfort.
